Punjab’s Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has arrested two traffic officials, including a sub-inspector, in Hazro over allegations of accepting a bribe, according to officials.
The arrests followed a complaint against the officials and were carried out during a raid led by ACE Circle Officer Inspector Jehanzeb Khan.
Officials said the operation was conducted in the presence of a civil judge, with the suspects allegedly caught accepting the bribe during the raid.
The action forms part of Punjab’s ongoing efforts to address allegations of corruption and misconduct involving public officials.
Further legal proceedings are expected as authorities continue investigating the alleged offence and gather evidence related to the case.
