Nida Dar becomes first Pakistani bowler to get 100 T20I wickets

According to the news, Pakistani all-rounder Nida Dar achieved a historic position after entering the club of women cricketers with 100 T20I wickets.

On Wednesday, the 34-year-old Pakistani cricketer the feat in the first of the three T20Is between Pakistan Women & West Indies Women when she dismissed Deandra Dottin in the 10th over of the first innings.

Nida Dar won the title of the 5th bowler in the women’s game to join the 100-T20I wickets club. Despite Pakistan’s loss the match against west Indies, but Nida Dar has achieved a record & became the first-ever Pakistani bowler to get the rank.

While speaking to media, the Pakistani star stated that it was her dream to achieve this milestone for a long time & she has now become the first-ever Pakistani bowler with 100 wickets in the T20s.

In the interim, PCB Chief Executive Wasim Khan congratulates Dar on turning into the first-since forever Pakistan bowler to record a century of wickets in T20Is.

Congratulating the Gujranwala-conceived cricketer, Khan said ‘This is no mean accomplishment and is a declaration of the hard work and devotion Nida has placed in throughout the long term.’

Adding that, ‘It is an extraordinary moment for her as well as the entire country as she is likewise the 1st Asian lady bowler to record this milestone. Nida is a symbol and motivation to a great many young ladies who are enthusiastic about cricket and follow the game.’

Moreover, the other four ladies bowlers to have crossed the 100-wicket mark in the shortest format are Anisa Mohammed (120), Ellyse Perry (115), Shabnum Ismail (110), and Anya Shrubsole (102). From the Asian groups, Poonam Yadav of India, with 95 wickets, follows Pakistan’s Dar in the rundown of most noteworthy T20I wicket-takers.

Former Pakistani captain Sana Mir has the second most wickets with 89 scalps at 23.42, while Sadia Yousuf, who took 57 wickets in a career that spanned from 2010 till 2017, and Anam Amin holds the title of 54 wickets at 20.22 are the other two bowlers with more than 50 T20I wickets.

On the other hand, Pakistani legendary former all-rounder Shahid Afridi holds the title with 97 T20I wickets.
