No Chances Of Pakistan-India Bilateral Series Currently: Ramiz Raja

In the current conditions, Ramiz Raja, the newly-elected chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has stated that there are no chances of Pakistan and India renewing bilateral cricket ties. During his first press conference as PCB chairman, Ramiz addressed the issue.

Raja remarked that organizing Indo-Pak matches is currently unfeasible while speaking to the media at the National High-Performance Centre following his unopposed and unanimous election as PCB Chairman on Monday.

Raja added, “It [Bilateral Indo-Pak Relations] is currently unachievable. Politics has tainted the sporting paradigm, and it is currently the status quo. “We are not in a hurry to address this issue because we need to focus on our domestic and local cricket.”

Ramiz also discussed the forthcoming T20 World Cup match between the arch-rivals in 2021. In the high-octane encounter, he stated the national team players must take responsibility and play courageous cricket. He stated that the squad must be well-prepared in advance, and that now is their chance to reverse the tables.

“The national team has a chance to win the World Cup, and we must support the team that has been selected for the tournament. Our plans need to be fine-tuned. Fearlessness is in Pakistan cricket’s DNA, and we need to develop a good paradigm and provide clarity in order to get the desired results,” he said.
