Northern areas of Pakistan to have high speed internet to facilitate tourists.

According to CEO Universal Service Fund Haris Mehmood Chaudhry, high-speed internet services would be accessible shortly in Chitral, Kaghan, and other tourist attractions in Pakistan’s northern provinces.

Haris Mehmood further stated that high-speed internet will be available in Chitral, Kaghan, Naran, and the Neelum Valley within six months.

After a year, high-speed internet will be available in Gwadar, Panjgur, and other regions of Balochistan.

Fiber optic work has also begun in seven tribal districts, with 900 kilometres of fibre optic cable being deployed in Khyber, Kurram, and Mohmand, he added.
