A senior Pakistan Air Force (PAF) official has made a bold statement about last year’s aerial conflict with India. The Deputy Chief of Air Staff declared, “Now, for the first time, we will have to say that our score is 8-0.” He was referring to Pakistan’s claimed success during Marka-e-Haq in May 2025.
The remark highlights PAF’s strong performance in air combat. According to Pakistani sources, the Air Force successfully engaged and downed eight Indian aircraft, including four Rafale jets, one Su-30MKI, one Mirage-2000H, one MiG-29UPG, and other assets. This is presented as a clear victory in the short but intense aerial confrontation.
Speaking on the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, the senior officer expressed high confidence in PAF’s capabilities, training, and technology. He said this was the first time Pakistan could claim such a decisive score in air engagements. The statement also emphasised the PAF’s readiness to defend the country’s airspace against any future threat.
This announcement comes as Pakistan celebrates the successful defence operation. It aims to boost national morale and showcase the professional strength of the Pakistan Air Force. The event also serves as a message of deterrence to regional adversaries.
Pakistan’s armed forces view Marka-e-Haq as a historic achievement that demonstrated improved tactics, better coordination, and modern equipment.
