NUST researchers ranked among top 2% in the world.

In 2021, nine researchers from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) will be listed among the world’s top 2% of research luminaries out of 100,000 top-tier researchers.

Elsevier publishes the data produced by Stanford University’s Prof John PA Loannidis and his team for rating. The researchers are rated using a composite index that takes into account many bibliometrics, such as citations, Hirsch-index, citations to publications with varying authorship positions, and so on.

Telecommunications, Signal Processing, Materials, Chemical, Bio-medical, Computer Science, and Mathematical Methods in Fluid Mechanics are among the nine researchers from NUST’s six distinct institutes and seven different fields. Drs. Noreen Sher Akbar, Meraj Mustafa Hashmi, Salman Raza Naqvi, Muhammad Usman Akram, Adeeb Shehzad, Muhammad Ishaq, Iftikhar Hussain Gul, Abdul Ghafoor, and Farooq Ahmed Tahir are the researchers.
