Oman To Build New City To Accommodate 100,000 People in 20,000 homes

Oman recently unveiled its project called ‘Sultan Haitham City.’ This development spans 15 million sq m and includes 20,000 residential units. The city aims to cater to all segments of society. It provides access to social and recreational facilities and creating a strong sense of belonging.

Sultan Haitham City will adhere to 12 global standards focused on quality of life and welfare. These standards encompass affordability, Advanced Integrated Facilities, and Modern lifestyles. The city will comprise 19 neighborhoods spread across a vast area of over 2.9 million sq m. Moreover, it ensures ample space for the planned 100,000 residents. Each neighborhood will offer various services and facilities to cater to the needs of the community.

The project was inaugurated by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said. Through a visual presentation detailing the residential quarters, amenities, and facilities such as schools, hospitals, and mosques. The vision for Sultan Haitham City goes beyond the concept of a typical urban environment.

It aims to shape a civilized society and pave the way for a brighter and more prosperous future. The city will also feature a well connected internal transport network, pedestrian passages, and bicycle paths to ensure easy access to facilities while promoting healthy lifestyles and environmental sustainability.
