One Year Anniversary! ‘Marka-i-Haq’ Monument Near Completion in Rawalpindi to Commemorate Operation Sacrifices

Construction work on the “Marka-i-Haq” monument is currently in progress at Baggi Park, located in Kutchery Chowk, Rawalpindi, and officials expect the project to be completed during the first week of May 2026. The monument is being developed as a significant landmark to commemorate national pride and remembrance. Authorities stated that the project is moving ahead at a steady pace, with teams working to ensure timely completion according to the planned schedule.

Officials said the Frontier Works Organisation has been assigned to carry out the construction under government directives, while financial support for the initiative is being provided by the Punjab government. The design of the monument is said to be inspired by a similar structure in Islamabad, aiming to create a symbol of honour and unity for residents of Rawalpindi. Importantly, the project is being developed within the boundaries of the existing Baggi Park, meaning no additional land acquisition was required for its construction.

According to authorities, the monument will serve as a tribute to the sacrifices made by the nation’s martyrs and will stand as a reminder of courage, resilience, and collective solidarity. Officials added that several related uplift and road improvement schemes in the surrounding Kutchery Chowk area are also advancing quickly, with multiple projects expected to be completed alongside the monument to enhance infrastructure and improve traffic flow in the city.
