Over 44,000 Pakistani Pilgrims Arrive in Saudi Arabia as Hajj Flights Continue

More than 44,000 Pakistani pilgrims have reached Saudi Arabia for Hajj 2026 as Pakistan’s pre-Hajj flight operation continues successfully.

According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, a total of 44,908 pilgrims have arrived through 176 flights so far.

Officials said thousands of pilgrims are currently staying in the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah, where arrangements have been made for their accommodation and transport.

More flights are continuing to depart from Pakistan daily, while the operation is expected to continue until May 21.

The government has introduced several facilities to support pilgrims during their journey. These include accommodation, transportation, meals, and medical services to help ensure a smooth and comfortable Hajj experience.

Officials are also monitoring arrangements closely to manage the large number of travelers arriving in Saudi Arabia.

Pakistan has received a Hajj quota of 179,210 pilgrims this year under an agreement with Saudi authorities. Thousands of pilgrims are expected to travel in the coming days under both government and private Hajj schemes.

Authorities said special teams are working in Saudi Arabia to assist Pakistani pilgrims and resolve any issues during their stay. Efforts are also being made to improve coordination between airlines, transport services, and Hajj staff.

The annual Hajj pilgrimage brings together millions of Muslims from around the world. For Pakistani pilgrims, preparations and travel operations remain in full swing as the country continues sending worshippers to Saudi Arabia for one of the most important religious gatherings in Islam.
