Pakistan A to Face India A in ACC T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup Today

The Pakistan Shaheens cricket team, captained by Mohammad Haris, kicks off their journey in the ACC Men’s Emerging Teams T20 Asia Cup 2024 today with a match against India-A at the Oman Cricket Academy Ground in Muscat. The Shaheens are in Group-B and will play two more group matches – against Oman on October 21 and the UAE on October 23.

The tournament format sees the top two teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals, scheduled for October 25. The final match will take place on October 26. In preparation for this event, the Pakistan Shaheens held a five-day training camp at the Hanif Mohammad National High-Performance Centre in Karachi.

Pakistan Shaheens are aiming to defend their title, having won the tournament twice – first in 2019 under the leadership of Saud Shakeel and again in 2023 with Mohammad Haris as captain. This year’s edition is unique as it is the first time the competition is being held in the T20 format, unlike the previous five editions, which followed the List-A format.

The Shaheens are focused on continuing their winning streak and securing another championship for Pakistan.
