The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) showcased its air power during the Yadgar-e-Fatah ceremony in Islamabad as Pakistan celebrated its 79th Independence Day. Fighter jets carried out a special flypast over the newly inaugurated monument, adding an air display to the national celebrations.
Yadgar-e-Fatah was inaugurated on August 13 by President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The monument was built in H-8, Islamabad, to honour the sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces and commemorate the Marka-e-Haq victory of 2025.
During the ceremony, PAF fighter jets flew over the capital and released flares, creating a striking display in the night sky. The flypast highlighted the role of the armed forces in the celebrations and reflected Pakistan’s focus on defence and national unity.
The event also featured fireworks, flag hoisting and the national anthem, bringing together senior state and military officials for the Independence Day celebrations.
