Pakistan and Germany have agreed to spend €13.5 million on a billion tree reforestation project

The Pakistani and German governments signed a €13.5 million agreement for the Billion Tree Afforestation Support Programme (Phase-1). A financial agreement for the Billion Tree Afforestation Support Programme was signed by Pakistan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs and Germany’s KfW Development Bank (Phase-1).

The deal was inked in Islamabad by Mian Asad Hayaud Din, Secretary Economic Affairs Division, and Sebastian Jacobi, Country Director KfW. The German government will pay a grant of Euro 13.5 million to the Pakistani government through the KfW Development Bank.
