Pakistan and Japan Agree to Boost Their Bilateral Economic Relations

Pakistan and Japan have agreed to boost their economic relations. The agreement was reached during the 7th Japan-Pakistan High-Level Economic Policy Dialogue, which was held in a virtual format in Islamabad today (Friday).

Secretary Ministry of Economic Affairs Noor Ahmed led the Pakistani delegation, while Senior Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Hiroshi Suzuki led the Japanese delegation.

Both sides discussed the current state of bilateral economic ties and reaffirmed their commitment to expanding mutually beneficial economic cooperation in a variety of areas.

Japan recognized Pakistan’s geoeconomic position as an attractive destination for Japanese investors due to its connectivity potential and function as a regional transit trade hub.
