Pakistan announces 4500 more scholarships for Afghan students

To strengthen bilateral ties between Pakistan and Afghanistan, the Pakistani government has established the Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarships Phase-III, which would be granted to 4,500 Afghan students.

The federal government offers scholarships for undergraduate, graduate (MS or MPhil), and doctorate (PhD) degrees in disciplines like medicine, engineering, agriculture, management, computer science, and others through the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

Doors closed by India

On the other hand, following the COVID-19 pandemic, India blocked its doors to Afghan students enrolling in Indian universities, endangering the future of thousands of Afghan students. Additionally, just 500 scholarships have been announced by Russia, a developed nation.

Efforts of Pakistan

Despite its economic challenges, Pakistan is working with Afghanistan in all areas.
However, the Indian lobby is working hard to destroy relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
