Pakistan Army Ranks Second at Inaugural Military Drone Competition in Turkiye

Pakistan’s military drone team has secured second place at the first Best International Military Drone Team Competition 2026, held in Ankara, Türkiye. The event brought together participants from 33 countries to test their drone flying skills.

The competition took place on October 24, with Türkiye finishing first, Pakistan second, Italy third and France fourth. The teams had to guide their drones through a course featuring 23 obstacles, with speed and control playing a key role in the results.

Pakistan completed the final course in 50.253 seconds, narrowly beating Italy, which finished in 50.680 seconds. Türkiye won the contest with a time of 41.417 seconds.

Pakistan also earned an individual silver medal, as Captain Talha finished second among more than 100 international pilots.

The competition was organised by the Turkish Land Forces and focused on first-person-view drones, which allow pilots to steer aircraft using a live camera feed. The result highlights Pakistan’s growing experience in military drone operations.
