Pakistan Bowl Out Sri Lanka for 312 Runs in 1st Innings of Test Match

In a thrilling first innings battle at the Galle International Stadium, the Sri Lankan cricket team encountered a formidable Pakistani bowling attack and achieved a modest total of 312 runs in the Test match.

Dhananjaya de Silva, the standout batsman for Sri Lanka, delivered a brilliant innings, scoring 122 runs. His composed and skillful batting was crucial in helping Sri Lanka establish a respectable score.

Angelo Mathews supported de Silva’s efforts with a score of 64 runs. Samara Vokrama and Karunaratne also made useful contributions with 34 runs and 29 runs, respectively.

However, Sri Lanka faced setbacks as some of their key players failed to make significant contributions. Dinesh Chandimal could only manage to score one run, while Madushka and Kaushal Mendis scored 4 and 12 runs, respectively.

The Pakistani bowlers showcased their talent and caused trouble for the Sri Lankan batsmen throughout the innings. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah emerged as the leading wicket-takers for Pakistan, each claiming three crucial wickets. Their consistent bowling attack made it challenging for the Sri Lankan batsmen to form substantial partnerships.

In addition to Afridi and Shah, Abrar Ahmed also took three wickets, further weakening the Sri Lankan batting line-up. Agha Salman contributed with one wicket, as the Pakistani bowlers collaborated effectively to restrict the Sri Lankan team.
