The popular Pakistani film ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’, featuring Fawad Khan, is set to release in Indian theaters in September 2024. The movie was originally scheduled for release in December 2022 but faced delays due to opposition from Hindu far-right groups and the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS).
Despite these setbacks, the film has enjoyed international success, and there is growing speculation that Zee Studios might be behind its Indian release, with a tentative date set for September 20, 2024. In the past, Pakistani films such as ‘Bol’ (2011) and ‘Ramchand Pakistani’ (2008) had limited releases in India.
Directed by Bilal Lashari, ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ made its global debut on October 13, 2022. The film has been highly anticipated by audiences, and its upcoming release in India marks a significant milestone for Pakistani cinema.
