Pakistan Govt Introduces Free Mobile Phone Repair Course for Women to Boost Skills & Employment

The Government of Pakistan has introduced a free mobile phone repairing course exclusively for women under the initiative of the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), aiming to promote technical education, vocational skills, and financial independence among women across the country.

The training program will be conducted at the Government Polytechnic Institute for Women and is designed to help women develop practical, hands-on expertise in mobile phone repair and maintenance. Through this initiative, participants will receive professional training that can help them secure employment opportunities or start their own small businesses in the growing technology and repair sector.

According to officials, the course is open to women between the ages of 18 and 40 who have completed at least matriculation. Interested applicants can submit their registrations online through NAVTTC’s official platforms, with the application deadline set for May 15.

Authorities say the initiative reflects the government’s ongoing commitment to empowering women through skill-based education and modern vocational training programs. The project is also part of wider national efforts to increase women’s participation in technical fields, improve employability, and support economic inclusion by providing market-relevant skills that can generate sustainable income opportunities.

Officials further highlighted that such training programs are intended to prepare women for evolving industry demands while encouraging self-employment and entrepreneurship. By offering free access to technical education, the government hopes to create greater opportunities for women to become financially independent and actively contribute to Pakistan’s workforce and economic growth.
