Pakistan Govt to Support Freelancers with Interest-Free Loans

The government has announced a comprehensive plan to support freelancers in the country. They will provide interest-free loans and facilities to help freelancers set up their own centers. This initiative aims to empower freelancers and promote entrepreneurship in the IT sector.

In addition to that, the government plans to establish 5,000 joint e-working centers across the country. These centers will provide freelancers with a dedicated space equipped with all the necessary facilities to work efficiently. This will not only create more opportunities for freelancers but also contribute to the growth of the digital economy.

Dr. Umar expressed optimism about the discussion with the finance minister on establishing a joint fund with government support. This fund aims to attract global investors and provide financial assistance to start-ups, fostering innovation and creating more job opportunities.

In line with this, the government is also taking steps to encourage foreign investment in the IT sector. Accounts established in foreign countries will be transferred to Pakistan, which will help restore investor confidence and increase the flow of dollars into the country.

Furthermore, Dr. Umar Saif, the IT and Communication Minister, expressed his intention to visit Saudi Arabia to explore investment opportunities in the IT sector. This visit aims to strengthen bilateral ties and attract foreign investment to further develop the IT industry in Pakistan.
