The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) have mutually given honors on Pakistan’s Nuclear Institute for Agriculture and Biology (NIAB) and five of the nation’s researchers, as per an assertion gave by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The assertion gave, says the NIAB and the researchers have been given the honors in acknowledgment of “Pakistan’s headway in the use of atomic innovation for the accomplishment of Sustainable Development Goals, including food security”.
Among the Pakistani beneficiaries of the honors, the NIAB has packed away the Outstanding Achievement Award, a gathering of four researchers in the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) has sacked the Team Achievement Award and another PAEC researcher has been given the Young Scientist Award for his work in plant change rearing and related innovations, the assertion adds.
Grant authentications will be introduced to the beneficiaries during the IAEA’s 65th General Conference in September 2021.
