The first round of talks between Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has ended in Tehran, with more discussions expected to continue soon.
Pakistan’s delegation, which also includes Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, is taking part in these important meetings.
The discussions are mainly focused on Iran’s nuclear program and the overall regional situation. Both sides are hopeful that continued dialogue may lead to some positive progress.
This visit shows Pakistan’s growing role as a mediator between Iran and the United States during a time of ongoing tensions. Pakistan is trying to support peaceful communication and reduce misunderstandings between the two countries through diplomatic efforts.
An Iranian spokesperson, Esmaeil Baqaei, confirmed that messages are still being exchanged between the involved parties. This indicates that communication channels remain open despite the challenges.
Earlier, separate talks involving JD Vance and Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf ended without reaching any agreement. This made the current discussions even more important.
