Pakistan is looking to South Korea for help in smartphone manufacturing.

Sangpyo met with Federal Minister of Information Technology and Telecommunications Syed Amin-ul-Haque.

The Korean Ambassador was welcomed into the minister’s office, and during the discussion, topics of common interest, including IT and telecommunications, were covered.

He told the Korean envoy that Pakistan’s ICT export remittances increased by 43.59 per cent to $1.512 billion from July to March of FY 2020-21, compared to the US $1.053 billion in the same time previous year.

The minister also urged Korea to help Pakistan in smartphone manufacturing and assembly. The two parties agreed to expand their collaboration in the fields of information technology and telecommunications.
