Pakistan Jumps Six Places in World’s Tourism Rankings

The International Travel and Tourism Development Index ranked Pakistan at 83rd place in the index, which is six places higher than it was in 2019.

The 2021 version of Travel and Tourism Development was released by the World Economic Forum (WEF), which included 117 countries.

The countries are ranked according to their policies and factors that affect the development and sustainability of the travel and tourism industries of each respective country, Radio Pakistan reported.

The six point increase in Pakistan’s ranking in the overall tourism and travel index is appreciated as a significant progress by the Managing Director of Pakistan Tourism Development and Corporation, Aftab ur Rehman Rana.

The top spot has been secured by Japan, followed by the United States, Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Australia, the United Kingdom, Singapore, and Italy among the top ten list.
