Pakistan outperforms India in terms of manpower exports

Despite the pandemic, Pakistan has risen to become the region’s top exporter of personnel, surpassing India and Bangladesh by 2020.

According to the Pakistan Economic Survey 2020-21, Pakistan’s skilled manpower exports increased to 224,705 workers, compared to 94,145 and 217,699 employees exported by India and Bangladesh, respectively.

Pakistan’s labour exports, on the other hand, have decreased from 625,203 in 2019 to 400,498 this year. Similarly, the number of emigrants registered in India and Bangladesh decreased by 273,093 and 482,490, respectively, in 2020 compared to 2019.

The pandemic caused a large drop in manpower exports, as several nations put blanket bans on foreign employee migration and travel to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Pakistan is one of the countries that escaped the coronavirus’s expansion, allowing it to outperform regional rivals India and Bangladesh in the export of talented employees.
