Pakistan is preparing to observe 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, marking Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), with religious activities planned across the country. The occasion will be observed on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, and the federal government has declared it a public holiday.
Cities and towns are being decorated with colourful lights, banners and Islamic symbols as communities prepare for the occasion. Mosques, religious centres and other venues are hosting Mehfil-e-Milad, Naat gatherings, Seerat conferences and programmes focused on the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Processions and rallies are also expected in different parts of the country.
The celebrations bring families and communities together in a spiritual atmosphere. People are also using the occasion to reflect on the Prophet’s message of peace, compassion, kindness and respect for others.
