Pakistan provides 100 scholarships to Afghan students and Rs 100 million in humanitarian aid to Afghanistan

On Sunday, Iftikhar Ali Malik, President of the SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry, announced that Pakistan has provided 100 scholarships to Afghan students and has sent Rs100 million in humanitarian items to Afghanistan.

He told a team of donors and benefactors led by Mian Muhammad Saeed Deraywalay, President Anjuman-i-Arain Pakistan, that the heroic people of Afghanistan were today facing severe hardships due to a lack of health care and food.

He stated that it is the moral mission of the entire world, particularly the West and the United States, to play a vital role on a war footing in rebuilding Afghanistan, the poorest country in the world, including rehabilitation of its people.

He stated that long-term peace in Afghanistan would benefit not only Pakistan and the region, but also the entire world. He stated that reviving the Afghan economy and giving basic necessities to the people will contribute in the restoration of peace.

Iftikhar Ali Malik stated, “We are happy that Pakistan is ranked at the top of the list of big donors internationally.”

He stated that Governor Punjab Ch Muhammad Sarwar, as usual, is taking a personal interest in the gathering of funds for Afghanistan.

He stated that the Pak Afghan Brotherhood, Sarwar Foundation, University of Lahore, Qarshi Foundation, Ghani group, important group, guard group of industries, and Anjuman-I-Arain are all assisting Afghans.
