According to the sources, Pakistan Railways will shift its 155 railway stations soon to the solar energy as under the direction of the government in order to use an alternative environment-friendly energy resource.
Nazia Jabeen , the Pakistan Railway Public Relations Director has stated that the total cost of the project would be over Rs.450 million.
However, she added that PC-1 of this project is ‘Solarisation and Commissioning of the 155 railway stations’ that had been approved; meanwhile, the tender of the project would also be presented after the set Budget 2021-22 by the government.
She further said that the 22 railway stations would also be shifted to the solar energy where computer based inter-locking system was working.
