Pakistan requires $100 Billion to Meet UN Goals

According to the IMF- International Monetary Fund, in order to meet the SDGs- Sustainable Development Goals aim by estimated 2030, the country, Pakistan needs to increase the annual spending on education by about 5.7% of the GDP, 6% on healthcare, along with $24.5 billion on the access to energy, and about $76 billion on road network.

According to a working paper titled as “Pakistan: Investment Needs for Reaching the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),” the IMF reported that achieving SDGs in the critical sectors entail an additional annual public as well as private sector spending of about 16% of the GDP by 2030.
