Pakistan is sending nearly 34.5 tonnes of its famous mangoes to 76 countries as a sweet gift of friendship. The shipments will start from July 2, 2026, under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s Mango Diplomacy plan.
This tradition uses the “King of Fruits” to build strong ties with nations in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas. The mangoes come packed in 6,896 boxes of five kilograms each, totaling 34,480 kilograms. Bigger shares go to countries like Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
Pakistani mangoes are loved around the world for their rich taste, sweet smell, and high quality. Varieties like Sindhri and Chaunsa are especially popular. Grown in the sunny fields of Punjab and Sindh, these fruits show Pakistan’s rich farming history and warm culture.
Mango diplomacy is not new. Every year, Pakistan’s leaders send premium mangoes to heads of state and important people. This small gift helps improve relations, promotes Pakistan’s image, and opens doors for more trade.
