Pakistan, Türkiye, Qatar and Indonesia are expected to sign a defence industry cooperation agreement on October 21, 2026, to strengthen ties in military technology, research and defence production.
The memorandum of understanding is expected to be signed in Qatar. Türkiye’s Defence Minister Yaşar Güler is scheduled to visit the country for the signing ceremony, according to information reported by Anadolu Agency on October 20.
The proposed agreement aims to improve cooperation between the four countries’ defence industries. Its planned areas include sharing defence technology and information, training, and research and development. The partnership is also intended to strengthen existing ties and create opportunities for joint projects that bring together the countries’ industrial capabilities.
However, officials have not yet disclosed the full terms of the agreement, details of specific projects or the total financial value of the proposed partnership.
The development comes as several countries seek to expand their defence capabilities through international cooperation. For Pakistan, the agreement could provide further opportunities to work with Türkiye, Qatar and Indonesia on defence technology and industrial development, depending on the projects agreed upon by the four governments.
