Pakistan will have no gas in few years, according to Fawad chaudhry

Fawad Chaudhry, the country’s information minister, warned on Tuesday that the country’s gas reserves were rapidly dwindling and that “Pakistan will have no gas in years to come.”

At a news conference following the cabinet meeting, the minister expressed concern over gas shortages in the country, claiming that they had been depleting at a rate of 9% per year for the previous two years.

The minister stated that “gas is accessible at subsidised rates to 23 percent of people in big cities, and 78 percent of people in other parts of the country rely on LPG, coal, and other means to meet their energy needs,” the minister stated. People who purchase petrol at a lower price in big cities, according to Chaudhry, should adjust their habits today. “This trend isn’t going to last much longer.”
