In September, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) revealed a three-year central contracts agreement with senior players, effective from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2026.
Although there was an initial disagreement, the players’ viewpoint prevailed, resulting in increased monthly retainers, match fees, and a significant addition of a 3% share from ICC’s revenue for the first time in history.
Many players have already signed their contracts and received their payments. Shan Masood has recently signed his contract, and other players like Hassan Ali, Imad Wasim, and Naseem Shah are likely to follow suit.
There may be potential changes in player categories and considerations for contractual obligations and future commitments.
