Pakistani Muslim sister reunited with Indian Sikh brother after 75 years

A Muslim sister met her Sikh brother from India.

Kulsoom Akhtar, Muslim sister from Pakistan and Amarjit Singh, Sikh brother were parted away during the partition between India and Pakistan in 1947.

The brother sister duo reunited when Mr. Singh was seen teary-eyed in his wheelchair at Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur in Pakistan. He was left behind when his Muslim parents migrated.

He came Pakistan through Attari-Wagah border. Kulsoom Akhtar was unable to hold her tears back on sighting her long lost brother after 7 decades.

Kulsoom decided to travel from her hometown Faisalabad in order to meet her brother. They hugged and cried after seeing eachother.

Muslim sister informed sources that she was born in Pakistan after migration of her parents. She stated that a brother and sister was left behind in suburb in Jalandhar at the time of partition in 1947.

Remembering the time when her mother kept on crying while talking missing her children. She added further that she haven’t expected to meet them.

Earlier, Kulsoom’s father friend, Sardar Dara Singh visited Pakistan a few years back where he also met her. A hope of lit enlightened and she informed him about her children and the name of their village.

After sometime, Dara Singh informed that her daughter had passed away but her son is still alive.

Upon receiving this information, they connected over a WhatsApp and planned to meet.
