Pakistani Origin Woman Elected First Muslim Deputy Mayor of British Town

A woman from Pakistan, Tahfeen Sharif, has been declared as the first Muslim female deputy mayor of Tameside.

She was a member of a social group and was also being claimed as the city’s youngest councillor in 2012.

In the past, she had been employed as Bedfordshire’s deputy police commissioner. As she was just a student, Tafheen was very much into political initiatives.

She belongs to Pakistan’s Azad Kashmir. She also stated that the issue of Kashmir needs to be sorted out seriously after she was chosen as the deputy mayor.

Kashmir’s topic, as per this freshly employed deputy mayor, was not in a state to be unheard. She said in her statement, “We all have a responsibility to make an effort to solve this situation.” She additionally stated, “I will be talking about the Kashmir issue at every forum.”
