Students from Pakistan achieved significant success at the Huawei ICT Competition 2022-2023 Global Final held in Shenzhen, China. The competition saw participation from 120,000 students representing over 2000 universities in 74 countries and regions worldwide.
In the Network Track, a team from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro and Lahore College for Women University secured the second prize, while another team from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro, Lahore College for Women University, FAST-nu Islamabad, and University of Engineering and Technology Lahore received the third prize.
Furthermore, Team Glam and Team Quran Ustads from FAST – National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Islamabad won the third prize in the Innovation Track. It’s worth noting that this year’s competition witnessed an increase in the proportion of female contestants, exceeding 21% and showcasing an 8% increase compared to three years ago.
