Pakistani Teen Lands in Trouble for Planning Bizarre ‘Khatam’ for Sidhu Moose Wala

A teenager was arrested in Okara for organizing a memorial event for the late Punjabi rapper Sidhu Moose Wala. The young fan, named Sharjeel Malik, attracted attention when he promoted the event on social media. In the event poster, he invited not only Sikh brethren but also “Badmashs” (gangsters) and promised an “aerial firing ceremony.”

Following the incident, Malik and his father released video messages apologizing for the boy’s actions. They clarified that they had no connection to Sidhu Moose Wala or any criminal gang.

The unusual memorial service was scheduled to honor the untimely death of Sidhu Moose Wala and was promoted on Facebook by Malik. Law enforcement agencies quickly took action to address the situation and apprehended Malik to prevent potential disruptions or safety concerns.

Sidhu Moose Wala, a popular Punjabi singer, songwriter, and actor, gained fame for his unique fusion of traditional folk music and modern elements. His distinct style and heartfelt voice made him a star, earning him a dedicated fan base in India and Pakistan.
