The Pakistan women’s cricket team made history by winning their first T20I series against New Zealand women at the University of Otago Oval in Dunedin. Before December 2023, New Zealand had always won against Pakistan in T20Is.

Choosing to bat first, Pakistan scored 137 runs for six wickets in twenty overs. Aalia Riaz played well, making 32 off 22 balls, including a shot over the boundary and three boundaries. Muneeba Ali added 35 runs.

New Zealand, in response, could only manage 127 runs, losing 7 wickets. Fatima Sana took three wickets, and Saeeda Iqbal took two.
