Pakistanis Happier than Indians & Bangladeshis, Report

The United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network released the World Happiness Report, which ranked Pakistan 108th out of 143 countries based on health, life expectancy, freedom, and corruption.

Pakistan’s ranking has slipped from 103 in 2023 to 108 in 2024, but it still managed to rank higher than its regional rivals India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.

Finland, Denmark, Iceland, and Sweden secured the top four positions, respectively, while Afghanistan ranked the least happy. In contrast, the United States and Germany fell out of the top 20, with 23rd and 24th positions, respectively.

The report highlights that the COVID-19 pandemic has affected people’s well-being worldwide, causing anxiety and depression.
