Pakistan’s largest city Karachi records worst air quality in the world

The Air Quality Index indicates that Karachi’s air quality remains unhealthy (AQI).

According to reports, the city has 195 particulate metres of air pollution, making it the most polluted city in the world. Lahore was placed fifth.

Delhi placed second on the list of most polluted cities, according to the AQI, with 188 particulate metres, followed by Calcutta, India, and Dhaka, Bangladesh, in fourth place with 174 particle metres.

According to the classification, air pollution between levels 151 and 200 is harmful, that between levels 201 and 300 is seriously detrimental, and that above level 301 is hazardous if inhaled.
