Pakistan’s Likely Playing XI for Fifth T20I Against New Zealand

The final match of Pakistan’s T20I series against New Zealand is set to take place at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore this Saturday, marking the end of an exciting series. With hopes of ending on a high note, the national team is aiming for victory.

After suffering their second defeat in the series, Pakistan missed out on the chance to claim victory overall. However, they now have one last opportunity to level the series.

In the upcoming match, it’s expected that Babar Azam will continue leading the team as captain, and he will also open the game alongside Saim Ayub. Usman Khan is likely to take on the role of wicketkeeper, while Fakhar Zaman, Shadab Khan, and Iftikhar Ahmed will hold key positions in the middle order.

All-rounder Imad Wasim will be eager to make a strong comeback after the narrow loss in the previous match.

There could be a change in the lineup for the final match, with Zaman Khan potentially making way for pacer Shaheen Afridi to strengthen Pakistan’s bowling attack.

Despite his expensive performance in the last match, Usama Mir is expected to be given another chance to showcase his skills before the World Cup squad is finalized.

In the last encounter between the two teams, Pakistan came close to chasing down New Zealand’s score but fell short by four runs. Imad Wasim’s efforts in the final over were commendable, but Pakistan ended up with a total of 174/8, while New Zealand scored 178/7. With the series hanging in the balance, fans are eagerly awaiting the outcome of the final showdown between Pakistan and New Zealand.
