In the recent ICC ODI rankings update, Pakistan’s fast bowling trio consisting of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah saw significant improvements due to their impressive performance in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023.

Shaheen Shah Afridi has climbed four places to reach the fifth position in the rankings after taking six wickets in two matches in the Asia Cup. Haris Rauf has made a remarkable jump of 14 spots and is now ranked 29th, while Naseem Shah achieved a career-high ranking of 68th.

These Pakistani bowlers showcased their skills in the Asia Cup, most notably in the match against India, where they collectively took all 10 wickets.

On the other hand, India’s young talents, Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan, have achieved their career-high ratings. Ishan Kishan’s impressive 82 in the match against Pakistan propelled him to a new career-best rating of 624 points and a 12-place rise to 24th in the ODI batter rankings.

Despite these advancements, Babar Azam, Pakistan’s skipper, still holds a substantial lead in the ODI batter rankings with a total of 882 rating points. Rassie van der Dussen from South Africa is in second place with 777 points.
