PCB Provides Naseem Shah Injury Update

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shared an update about Naseem Shah’s injury on Friday. Naseem Shah hurt his shoulder during the Asia Cup 2023 and will likely be unable to play for three to four months.

This means he won’t be able to participate in the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023 in India. The PCB explained that after careful medical examinations and consultations with experts, Naseem needs surgery and is expected to recover in three to four months.

Because of Naseem’s injury, Hasan Ali, a fast bowler, has taken his place in Pakistan’s squad. Chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq mentioned that Naseem Shah is a key bowler for Pakistan, and due to injuries to other fast bowlers like Hasnain and Ihsanullah, they had limited options when selecting the team for the ICC World Cup 2023.
