The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to remember the Green Shirts’ World Cup victory in 1992 with zeal and enthusiasm.
On March 25, 1992, Pakistan won their first World Cup by defeating England by 22 runs in the historic World Cup final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
The 1992 World Cup trophy will be displayed at Gaddafi Stadium on March 25 to commemorate the historic victory, according to the PCB. Cricket fans are permitted to snap and take pictures with the coveted trophy.
Tomorrow, the 1992 World Cup trophy will be presented to Pakistan and Australia’s locker rooms. In the interim, the PCB will release a slideshow of photos from the 1992 World Cup final.
