Petrol Price in Pakistan Increases by Rs. 9.99/Litre

On Monday, the federal government announced a significant hike in fuel prices. The price of petrol has been raised by Rs9.99, bringing it to Rs275.60 per litre. Additionally, the cost of high-speed diesel (HSD) has increased by Rs6.18 per litre, now priced at Rs283.63.

The Finance Division issued a notification confirming these changes, which will come into effect starting July 16, 2024.

This adjustment reflects the government’s ongoing efforts to align domestic fuel prices with international market rates and manage the economic pressures.

The increase in fuel prices is expected to impact transportation costs, possibly leading to higher prices for goods and services across the country.

Consumers are advised to plan accordingly as these new rates will be in place for the foreseeable future. This move underscores the importance of staying informed about economic policies and their effects on daily life.
