Petrol Price Likelt to Reduce by Rs. 10 in Pakistan

In a positive development for consumers, it is expected that the price of petrol in Pakistan will see a substantial reduction of Rs. 10 per liter. This anticipated decrease comes as welcome news for motorists who have been grappling with high fuel prices in recent months.

The reduction is expected to provide some relief to the public and ease the burden on household budgets.

The proposal for the reduction in petrol prices was put forward by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) after analyzing the global oil market and considering the impact on the domestic economy.

OGRA recommended a substantial reduction in the petroleum levy and the general sales tax (GST) on petrol to enable the price decrease. The decision is now awaiting approval from the government.
