Petrol Price Likely to Increase by Rs. 30 Per Litre in Pakistan

The government is likely to raise petrol prices once more, due to inflation making petrol 30 rupees more expensive. In the last two days, the local currency lost PKR 31.71, or 14%, against the dollar and ended the day at PKR 262.60.

According to sources, the government is considering imposing 17% GST on petroleum products.

At the end of January, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar announced a huge hike of Rs 35 in the price of petrol and diesel.

After this announcement, the price of petrol was Rs 249.80, while the price of high-speed diesel per litre was Rs 262.80.
