Petrol Price Reduced by Rs. 8, New Price Rs. 259.34 Per Litre

The interim government, led by Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar, has announced a reduction in the price of petrol by Rs8 per litre and decided to keep the price of high-speed diesel unchanged for the next two weeks.

The decision, approved by the interim prime minister, aims to ease financial burdens on the public during this sensitive interim period. The revised prices came into effect from midnight, with the new price of petrol being Rs259.34 per litre, while high-speed diesel remains at Rs303.18 per litre.

Two weeks ago, the government had maintained petrol and high-speed diesel prices at Rs267.34 and Rs276.21, respectively. Additionally, the price of kerosene oil was reportedly reduced by Rs2.19.

In a notification, the Finance Division mentioned that the government had decided to keep the current prices of petrol and high-speed diesel unchanged for the next two weeks.
