Petrol Prices Likely to Go Down by Rs.4 From May 1

The cost of petrol is anticipated to decrease by 4.5 rupees per litre, while the cost of diesel is anticipated to decrease by 6 rupees per litre, according to sources at oil marketing companies (OMCs).

In the transportation and agricultural industries, diesel is widely used. The decrease in price might lessen the effects of inflation while also providing farmers with some comfort now that crop harvesting season has begun.

Consumers already have to deal with high pricing, particularly those of low income who drive motorcycles and tiny cars.

The federal government announced price increases for fuel and petrol oil last fortnight “in the wake of increase in petroleum prices in the international market and exchange rate variations.”
