The Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) received around Rs. 22 billion in federal funding over the past three years, according to official budget figures.
During the previous fiscal year, PIMS was allocated Rs. 6.84 billion but spent Rs. 7.51 billion, exceeding its approved budget by approximately Rs. 670 million.
For the current fiscal year, the federal government has allocated Rs. 7.63 billion to PIMS, as attention remains focused on improving healthcare facilities and strengthening financial management.
