PM Announces to Celebrate May 10 as Marka-e-Haq Day Every Year

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that May 10 will now be observed every year as “Marka-e-Haq Day” in Pakistan.

According to the announcement, this day will be dedicated to remembering Pakistan’s response during last year’s conflict with India, when tensions between the two countries were at a high level.

The government says the purpose of this day is to highlight national unity, resilience, and the country’s stance during difficult security situations.

Officials stated that the observance of Marka-e-Haq Day will serve as a reminder of the events that took place during the conflict and Pakistan’s reaction to external pressure.

It will also be used to honor the efforts of those who contributed to the country’s defence and security during that period.

The Prime Minister said the decision reflects the importance of remembering key moments in national history that shaped the country’s response and preparedness. He added that such days help strengthen national awareness and encourage unity among citizens.

Government representatives explained that educational institutions, public organizations, and media outlets may also take part in awareness activities related to this day in the future. These activities are expected to focus on national history, security awareness, and unity among the people.

The announcement has been made as part of efforts to formally recognize significant national events and their impact on the country’s history.

Officials believe that marking May 10 as Marka-e-Haq Day will help future generations understand important national developments and appreciate the role of institutions during challenging times.

The decision adds a new annual observance to Pakistan’s national calendar, highlighting themes of resilience, patriotism, and national solidarity.
